Introduction

Hi I'm Brianne!  I’m not one to brag.  In fact the very thought of thinking anything I can create is better than anyone else’s is exhausting.  Baking has been a passion of mine for a while now, but I never went public with it.  Like I said, I don’t like to brag and I’ve never had any professional training in baking.  Baking to me is an art form.  I honestly would prefer for anything I bake to look better than it actually tastes.  That was until my husband came along and reassured me that not only do my creations look good, but they generally taste good too. 

My baking addiction began in the shadows of the cake pop craze.  While surfing the web in June of 2009, I stumbled upon the Bakerella blog and shortly after created my very first cake pop bouquet, which I gifted to my parents for their wedding anniversary.  Since then, I continued to make cake pops, gourmet cupcakes and sweet breads.  In 2011, I married the love of my life and it just so happens that he is a huge fan of cookies.  Cookies?  Of all things… the one thing I am terrible at baking… cookies.  They never turn out golden brown, chewy and as pillowy, as I would like them.  They end up resembling blackened pancakes that are best suited for dipping in coffee to take away the taste of charcoal.  I blame the altitude. 

While blogging has never really been my thing, I have finally caved-in to the request of my husband and the many friends and family who have on various occasions asked where I buy my cupcakes from.  Well, here you go… I don’t buy them, I bake them.  Hopefully this blog will be the start of a glorious journey as I continue to create cake pops, cupcakes, sweet breads and yes, cookies too.
